The various knife blades are made out of either 420M (modified) stainless steel, 440C stainless steel, 52100 carbon steel, Sandvik 12c27 stainless steel or damascus steel & damascus San Mai (forged by Craig Barr). Please call for information on the knife you are interested in.

A new addition is the Coloradan.  The blade is made from the steel balls that are used to crush rocks and ore in Colorado mining.  The steel seems to be similar to 52100 bearing steel.  The handle is made from bristlecone pine.  It came from a stand on the western slope of Colorado, that was killed by fire in the late 1800's.  It was reported to be (at that time) from 1200 to 2,000 years old.  The bristlecone pine is the oldest tree known to man.
